My Nutcracker is starving!

Caleb has this fascination with Nutcrackers. You know the toy soldiers. He's always liked them, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the bright colors, maybe it's the fact they are in character or maybe it's because they can crack a nut with their jaws. Whatever the reason, he loves them.

A few years ago my Mom got Caleb a Nutcracker for Christmas. He loved it! Well, I'm not sure what got into his head but today, he had to play with it. While I'm cleaning the kitchen, I see him rummaging through the pantry. What's he looking for? Why Nuts of course! While we aren't big nut eaters here, we did have a jar of cashew halves and pieces, which Caleb then fed to his Nutcracker. Why? Because his Nutcracker was Starving!!! Didn't I know that the last time the Nutcracker ate was when he first got him, several Christmas' ago? My, Oh, My! It's amazing the Nutcracker lived that long!!

Today was the bi-monthly (meaning every other month, not twice a month - is that the same word? I'll have to look it up.) ATC meeting. I was going to take a picture of all the cards and post them but I left Amy's at the store. Hers were still a little wet and since I had to bring the Cherubs-turned-while-at-store-into-Monsters, I was quick to skeedattle out of there. And I forgot it. The Monsters were playing in and around the car in the parking lot. Probably not something they should be doing. Calgon!!!!! Anyhow, I'll try to remember to post some pictures of them tomorrow. They came out great! Dana, of course, put a fairy in hers. It would not be a piece of art from Dana if she didn't add a fairy. I love it!
I'll be working for a few more hours tonight on some projects and then I promised to bring the Cherubs-hopefully-not-Monsters to the park tomorrow. Yikes, what was I thinking? I'll post some sneak peaks tomorrow night!

Up Early, Up Late...

Caleb went to Cub Scout Camp this week. Monday through Friday, tomorrow being the last day. YAH, it's almost over. I only say this because, well... I'm EXHAUSTED!!! I really think that I require a lot of sleep. At least 8, preferably 10 hours of sleep. I can function on less. And I have been known to stay up all night to get a project done but... All week I've had to get up at 6 so Caleb can catch the bus.

OK, OK, I hear some of you snickering. I know many of you probably get up at 6 or earlier every morning. I don't. I'm extremely blessed to be a Work at Home Mom. Well a WAHM for the most part. And my usual morning starts around 8. This 6 AM stuff stinks. I've tried to go to bed earlier but I'm kinda programmed. Ya know? I usually don't crawl into bed until 12:30 or 1. I hear, the math doesn't add up. I did say my day usually starts around 8, sometimes later, sometimes earlier. Same with the bed time.

Anyhow, I'm having a tough time getting my thoughts out tonight I'm so tired. But I will leave you with a few pictures. The first is Bryce's project from yesterday and then the others are of Caleb getting ready to leave for camp. I can't forget to post pictures of him!

M.O.M.

Today was Bryce's first day of Camp so I brought Caleb to see Pokemon at M.O.M. What a fun time. I've never brought either my kids before. I'm not sure why, it's within my 13 mile/minute radius* and it was cheap enough (only $6 per person). It was a great time, although it only lasted 20 minutes. I wish it could have been a bit more.

Caleb had a great time! I could see him trying to grab the 3D items off the screen! It was too cute!! He's 7 so he can understand the characters aren't there but I guess he just had to try. I probably would have too!

The Pokemon Movie wasn't really that great, it was hard to hear. While Caleb enjoyed it the best part, by far, was when they showed the 'Original Movie' at the end. It's real cool, you travel in a police car, a dune buggy, a roller coaster and a truck but the best part was when you traveled as you would if you were a tie fighter. Caleb was estatic! He loves Star Wars so he was thrilled to see it. He told me after that we were travelling through the Death Star. Ohhh... I'm so glad I did some one-on-one interaction with him today. I did tell Bryce when he got home that when Caleb goes to camp in two weeks we'll do it to. I'm thinking on Wednesday I might bring Caleb to the Go Carts. I think he'll enjoy that!

I've got a couple of appointments tomorrow and then I'll try again to upload video. Keep your eyes peeled!

School's out ...for Summer?

Last night the Governor of Massachusetts cancelled all school until May 4th.  He did this on March 25th.  That is about 6 weeks of no sc...
